DRAM Process Integration Engineer
Role Summary
As a process integration engineer in the DRAM organization you will drive manufacturability and performance of next-generation DRAM technology in a 300mm R&D facility. The role focuses on process integration, semiconductor device physics, circuit interaction, and collaboration with process development, simulation, modeling, characterization, and reliability teams.
Primary objectives are to enable scalable DRAM process flows, improve yield and margin, and address performance and reliability issues.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires 7–10+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technology integration to enable manufacturable state-of-the-art DRAM processes.
- Collaborate with process development, product engineering, design, yield improvement, advanced mask, and probe teams to resolve yield and margin issues.
- Design and execute experiments in the R&D fab and optimize process flows.
- Extract, analyze, and act on inline, defect, parametric, and probe data to fix yield, performance, and reliability problems.
- Drive continuous yield improvement and cost-reduction activities.
- Summarize complex problems, propose corrective actions, and lead teams to implement solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Detailed knowledge of mainstream memory technologies such as DRAM and NAND with demonstrated contributions.
- Expert-level understanding of semiconductor device physics.
- Strong background in semiconductor process integration and process development.
- Familiarity with process integration and circuit/architecture interactions relevant to memory.
- Experience interpreting inline monitoring, defect, parametric, and probe data; familiarity with data analysis, DOE, and statistical techniques (preferred).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and drive project outcomes.
Education Requirements
MS in an engineering field required (paired with 7–10+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience). PhD in an engineering field preferred (paired with 5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience). No specific certifications were listed.
