Job Title

DRAM Process Integration Engineer

Role Summary

As a process integration engineer within Micron's DRAM organization you will work in a 300mm R&D facility on next-generation DRAM memory technology. The role focuses on device performance, manufacturability, and resolving integration and circuit issues through collaboration with process development, simulation, modeling, characterization, and reliability teams.

Work supports technology scaling and product manufacturability for advanced memory products.

Experience Level

Senior. Typical profile: MS in an engineering field with 7–10+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience; PhD with 5+ years is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute integration work to enable manufacturable DRAM technology, drive yield and margin improvements, and coordinate cross-functional problem solving.

  • Lead technology integration activities to improve manufacturability and performance for DRAM products.
  • Collaborate with process development, product engineering, design, yield, advanced mask, and probe teams to resolve yield and margin issues.
  • Design, plan, and execute experiments in the R&D fab and optimize process flows.
  • Extract, supervise, analyze, and act on inline, defect, parametric, and probe data to address yield, performance, and reliability issues.
  • Lead or participate in continuous yield improvement and cost-reduction efforts.
  • Summarize complex problems, recommend actions, and drive implementation across teams.

Requirements

Technical must-haves and preferred skills for success in this role.

Must-have:

  • Deep knowledge of mainstream memory technologies (DRAM, NAND) and their integration challenges.
  • Expert-level semiconductor device physics knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process integration and process development.
  • Familiarity with process integration and circuit/architecture interactions specific to memory.
  • Experience with data analysis, design of experiments (DOE), and statistical techniques to diagnose and resolve yield issues.
  • Ability to design and execute R&D experiments and optimize process flows for manufacturability.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and drive multi-disciplinary solutions.

Nice-to-have:

  • Project management experience coordinating multi-functional technical teams.
  • Familiarity with alternative memory technologies and related challenges.

Education Requirements

Minimum: MS in an engineering field plus 7–10+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience. Preferred: PhD in an engineering field with 5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience. (Source specifies engineering field; no specific certifications were listed.)
