Role Summary

As a DRAM Device Engineer in Micron's Taichung Fab 16 manufacturing team, you will analyze electrical test results, characterize device behavior, and drive improvements in device performance and reliability to support production yield ramp and product quality. The role collaborates with process integration, product engineering, data engineering, QA, and failure analysis teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include data analysis, device characterization, and cross-functional problem solving in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Enable next-generation DRAM ramp and maintain production yield and quality.
• Analyze electrical test data and provide actionable feedback to process integration teams.
• Design and execute DOE on silicon to improve device performance and reliability.
• Perform device characterization and deep root-cause analysis of performance and reliability issues.
• Monitor device metrics on the production line to ensure specifications meet production requirements.
• Develop or leverage data automation and collaborate with data engineering to scale analysis.
• Use AI tools to increase problem-solving efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for success:

• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
• Experience in semiconductor device characterization.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis.
• Understanding of CMOS device and circuit operation.
• Good communication skills and self-motivated work style.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with AI tools applied to data analysis.
• Knowledge of mainstream memory technologies (DRAM, NAND, NOR) or prior memory-industry experience.

Education Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
