Job Title

DRAM Architect - Senior Engineer

Role Summary

The DRAM Architect will define and optimize DRAM system and component solutions to meet targets for performance, power, reliability, and cost. This role works with global, cross-functional teams (architecture, product engineering, system engineering) to deliver memory features and system-level innovations for current and future DRAM generations.

The role emphasizes data-driven trade-offs, system-level analysis, and clear communication of complex technical concepts across teams.

Experience Level

Senior. Posting specifies a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in memory design, product engineering, or system architecture.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining DRAM solutions, evaluating trade-offs, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver production-ready memory products.

  • Develop DRAM system and component solutions, specifications, and methodologies to optimize performance, power efficiency, and cost.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to propose, evaluate, and refine architectural ideas and system-level optimizations.
  • Analyze system behavior and use data-driven methods to optimize designs and trade-offs.
  • Drive innovation for future memory generations and contribute to architectural roadmaps.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers across disciplines.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and competencies for successful performance in this role.

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in memory design, product engineering, or system architecture and usage.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and self-motivation to discover and implement solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with LPDDR5/6, DDR5/6, or GDDR6/7 memory technologies.
  • Experience with memory system modeling, performance simulation, or architectural trade-off analysis.
  • Familiarity with JEDEC standards, DRAM specifications, and cross-layer (system-to-silicon) optimization.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
