DRAM Architect — Principal Engineer (MTS - TPG)

Role Summary

Define and deliver system-level DRAM solutions optimized for power, performance, and cost. Work with global cross-functional teams (architecture, design, validation, product engineering) to drive feature definitions, performance trade-offs, and time-to-market execution for DRAM products.

Experience Level

Senior; minimum of 7 years' experience in the memory or semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include system-level architecture, analysis, and cross-team collaboration:

• Develop system-level solutions, tools, and methodologies to optimize DRAM performance, power efficiency, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to ideate, evaluate, and implement DRAM and memory system solutions.
• Analyze system behavior and assess solution effectiveness; make data-driven optimizations and trade-offs.
• Drive architectural innovation for current and future DRAM generations.
• Document and communicate technical decisions and mentor team members.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and preferred skills:

• Proven experience in memory design, product engineering, memory specifications/operations, or memory system architecture.
• Strong understanding of DRAM architectures and system-level interactions.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and lead practical solutions.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the memory or semiconductor industry.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with LPDDR5/6, DDR5/6, GDDR6/7, or HBM3E/4; deep knowledge of industry trends and system-level trade-offs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
