Role Summary
Senior technical leader responsible for shaping the enterprise technical vision and roadmap for structural and electrical thin-film processes used in NAND products. Lead multi-team programs to deliver breakthrough process technology, guide problem resolution, and represent the organization in external collaborations and industry forums.

Responsibilities
The role leads technical strategy and large, cross-functional programs to advance thin-film deposition and diffusion technologies for NAND.
- Define and maintain process technology roadmap for structural and electrical films aligned to business objectives and competitive benchmarks.
- Lead and deliver cross-disciplinary programs that solve high-impact technical challenges and drive breakthrough innovations.
- Drive root-cause analysis and resolution for the most complex process and reliability issues.
- Evaluate technical risks, prioritize investments, and identify strategies for cost, yield, and efficiency improvements at scale.
- Mentor senior technical leaders and influence roadmap and product-differentiating decisions.
- Prepare technical presentations, white papers, and patent filings; establish strategic external collaborations with research institutions and consortia.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights to improve process development efficiency and quality, adhering to legal and organizational standards.
Requirements
Core technical and leadership qualifications required for success in this role.
- Extensive R&D/process-development experience in NAND thin films, including diffusion, CVD dielectric, and carbon-based films.
- Mastery of ALD and CVD (plasma and thermal) processes and the ability to pioneer new deposition methods, materials, and integration strategies.
- Deep expertise in reliability modeling, process-device correlation frameworks, and advanced failure analysis across generations.
- Advanced electrical evaluation and metrology strategy experience; ability to set technical standards.
- Proven record of innovation (patents, publications, invited talks) and recognized leadership in technical committees or consortia.
- Strong enterprise influence, executive-level communication, and experience mentoring senior engineers.
- Track record initiating strategic collaborations and delivering organization-wide capability shifts is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
PhD with ≥15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with ≥17 years of relevant experience, in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience as described above). Certifications not specified.
