Role Summary
The successful candidate will join the Display IP Design team in developing leading edge display solutions in Qualcomm SoCs. You will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers, and verification engineers, responsible for IP design development and integration within the display sub-system.

Mid-level, requiring 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop module specifications and follow through with design and programming specifications.
- Provide technical expertise for next generation initiatives and design automation.
- Model and analyze performance, area, power, and system cost trade-offs for different micro-architectures.
- Implement modules and sub-systems in Verilog RTL.
- Work closely with the design verification team to define verification methodology.
- Develop and debug tests at the module, sub-system, and SoC levels throughout the ASIC development cycle.
- Develop and update technical documentation on an ongoing basis.
- Make significant contributions to silicon debug and analysis.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design experience, or
- Master's degree and 1+ year of ASIC design experience, or
- PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to work legally in Canada.
- Strong understanding of ASIC/VLSI design concepts.
- Experience with HDL languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master's or PhD preferred.
