Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, product marketing, and applications teams to define power requirements and deliver power-efficient solutions from concept to production.

Hands-on leadership role focused on methodologies, tools, and scalable infrastructure for power analysis and correlation with post-silicon measurements.

Experience Level

Senior β€” leadership role. Typical experience guidance: BSEE ~15+ years, MS ~12+ years, PhD ~10+ years in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

The director will set technical direction, build the team, and own power-related design, analysis, and delivery across product lines.

  • Build and grow a system power team aligned with business objectives.
  • Define and lead low-power system design and power management strategies.
  • Establish power budgets; perform power analysis, measurement, and debug.
  • Develop power models and modeling methodologies and correlate models with post-silicon measurements.
  • Design and run FPGA-focused power and performance benchmarks; track regressions.
  • Develop scalable software infrastructure for regression and benchmark tracking.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor system power architects across geographies.

Requirements

Core technical and leadership requirements.

Must-have:

  • Proven experience with power measurements, power modeling, and power/performance analysis across hardware IPs (CPU, GPU, DSP, TPU, FPGAs).
  • Proficiency with scripting (e.g., Python) and programming (C/C++ or Java).
  • Experience defining and driving best practices and methodologies for power design and analysis.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams across geographies and managing performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with regression infrastructure, benchmark tracking systems, and scalable tooling for power analysis.
  • Deep experience with FPGA-specific power and performance benchmarking.
