Director, Software TPM - Server Firmware and System Software

Role Summary

Lead the Server Software Technical Program Management team responsible for firmware and system software delivery for NVIDIA server platforms (DGX, MGX, HGX). This role connects strategy and execution to ensure firmware, drivers, and system management software align with hardware schedules and product goals.

Manage a team of Senior TPMs, collaborate with product management and hardware engineering, and drive process improvements across NPI and sustaining organizations.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 12+ years of experience in low-level or system software projects and 7+ years in a people management role.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading execution, defining program objectives, and improving SDLC practices across teams.

  • Lead a team of TPMs driving technical software and firmware execution for NPI and sustaining engineering.
  • Drive end-to-end SDLC for low-level server components (BMC, UEFI/BIOS), drivers, and system management software.
  • Coordinate release plans and program objectives with product management and hardware engineering.
  • Establish feedback loops between sustaining and NPI teams to improve quality and development velocity.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and propagate SDLC standards across engineering and TPM organizations.
  • Manage cross-organizational interactions across diverse technical groups and organizational levels.

Requirements

Must-have technical and leadership qualifications followed by preferred skills.

  • 12+ years of experience developing and leading complex low-level or system software projects.
  • 7+ years of experience in a people management role with demonstrated mentoring and team-building skills.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture: server topologies, out-of-band management, UEFI/BIOS, interconnects (PCIe, CXL), memory management, and RAS architecture.
  • Experience with system software for accelerators (GPUs, DPUs, or FPGAs).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities under fast timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Nice to have: prior Senior Manager experience leading engineering or program management teams.
  • Nice to have: deep understanding of software engineering principles and large-scale enterprise system architecture.
  • Nice to have: experience coordinating activities between hardware, firmware, and software application organizations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
