Director / Senior Manager, Analog, Mixed-Signal & RF IC Design

Role Summary

Lead the Analog, Mixed-Signal and RF IC design team to develop IPs for data center SERDES (200G and 400G), including DSPs, drivers, and TIAs. This is a people-management role with significant hands-on technical leadership, responsible for architecture, tape-out, productization, and cross-functional coordination.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership for mixed-signal/RF IC design and productization.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and set strategic direction, roadmaps, and architectures for mixed-signal designs across global teams.
• Partner with IC designers and system engineers to develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for next-generation products.
• Translate product specifications into block-level design requirements and drive implementation excellence.
• Build, mentor, recruit, and develop a high-performance team of analog, mixed-signal, and RF IC designers.
• Drive performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Partner with system engineering, digital design, CAD, and technology teams to optimize design flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with support teams to improve organizational productivity and design processes.
• Interface with customers during development and release-to-production phases; represent the design organization in executive technical and business discussions.
• Oversee IC tape-out, manufacturability, and productization from concept through production release; ensure time-to-market and quality objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies.

Must-have:

• Extensive hands-on experience in analog, mixed-signal, or RF IC design with a proven tape-out and productization record.
• Deep knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and RF IC design principles and architectures.
• Practical experience with advanced CMOS process nodes.
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams and leading cross-functional programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, executive presentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives, make decisions, and deliver results on schedule.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to influence across organizational boundaries.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with data center SERDES IPs (200G/400G), DSPs, drivers, or TIAs.
• Prior history of building high-performance teams in a semiconductor or fabless environment.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 11 years of relevant experience, or MS plus 9 years, or Ph.D. plus 6 years of relevant experience (as defined in the posting).
