Director, Quality Assurance
Role Summary
Lead quality for the Module business within the Performance Core Power group, owning end-to-end product quality from development through post-launch. Drive quality standards, metrics, and processes across internal teams, module manufacturers, and key suppliers.
Primary objectives are to embed a shift-left quality mindset, enable rapid containment and resolution of issues, and reduce customer-impacting incidents across global programs.
Experience Level
Senior β requires significant leadership experience; posting specifies 10+ years in product or quality engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Accountable for establishing and executing quality strategy and leading cross-functional efforts to prevent and resolve quality issues.
- Define and enforce quality standards and processes across design, development, and production.
- Align customer, vendor, and internal requirements to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Own root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions for quality issues end-to-end.
- Lead cross-functional teams to rapidly contain and resolve critical quality incidents.
- Advance shift-left practices to detect and prevent issues early in development.
- Implement structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage supplier excursions, customer escalations, and liaison with customer QA teams.
- Manage external ISO/IATF audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.

- Proven leadership and people-management skills with ability to lead cross-functional global teams.
- Solid understanding of new product development procedures and semiconductor supply chain/production environments.
- Expertise in statistical analysis, structured problem solving, and making data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing supplier excursions and handling customer escalations.
- Knowledge of commercial and automotive quality standards and practical experience with quality systems and audits.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working with module manufacturers and external suppliers in a high-volume or complex supply chain.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is specified; a Master's degree is preferred.
