Director Product Definition / Product Management – Automotive Audio (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Lead product definition and product management for automotive audio solutions. Define product roadmaps, translate market and customer needs into product requirements and business cases, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver product releases.
The role requires direct engagement with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners to ensure product-market fit and drive adoption.
Experience Level
Senior - requires 10+ years of relevant industry experience working in automotive semiconductors, audio systems, infotainment, product management, or system architecture.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Define and drive next‑generation automotive audio products, platforms, and roadmaps.
- Translate market and customer requirements into clear product requirements and business cases.
- Act as the voice of the customer; engage OEMs, Tier‑1s, and ecosystem partners.
- Identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and growth opportunities in automotive audio.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define system‑level solutions.
- Lead cross‑functional alignment on product strategy, priorities, and investment decisions.
- Support development programs through key milestones and product releases.
Requirements
Must-have
- 10+ years experience in automotive semiconductors, audio systems, infotainment, product management, product definition, or system architecture.
- Strong understanding of automotive audio technologies, including DSPs, amplifiers, software, and system architectures.
- Proven track record translating customer requirements into successful products.
- Experience working directly with automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-have
- Semiconductor product definition experience from concept to production.
- Knowledge of software‑defined vehicles, AI‑enabled audio, immersive audio, or voice technologies.
- Understanding of automotive functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Established relationships across the automotive audio ecosystem.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Acoustics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (as stated in the posting).
