Role Summary

Lead product strategy, roadmap execution, and commercial performance for an advanced semiconductor inspection product line. This is a Director-level individual contributor role responsible for product profitability, customer adoption, and cross-functional alignment across engineering, sales, service, operations, finance, and executive leadership.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Director). Requires extensive industry experience: minimum 15 years in semiconductor capital equipment or related industries and at least 5 years in product, program, or business unit leadership.

Responsibilities

Accountable for product strategy, P&L, market engagement, and execution across the product lifecycle.

• Define multi-year product roadmaps and value propositions aligned to customer needs and market trends.
• Own product-line P&L, pricing, gross margin initiatives, and investment prioritization.
• Develop business cases, evaluate ROI, and recommend technology investments.
• Drive new product introductions, major customer programs, and stage-gate governance.
• Lead cross-functional teams and hold stakeholders accountable for technical, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Engage customers and partners: lead roadmap discussions, technical reviews, and executive briefings.
• Analyze field data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and future development.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to support customers and product activities.

Requirements

Must-have skills, experience, and responsibilities for successful candidates.

• Minimum 15 years in semiconductor capital equipment, manufacturing, inspection, metrology, or process control industries.
• At least 5 years in Product Management, Program Management, Business Unit Management, or equivalent leadership roles.
• Proven experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, and commercial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Strong technical aptitude to engage on inspection algorithms, optical architectures, and system-level trade-offs.
• Experience building product requirements, business cases, and financial plans; comfortable with P&L accountability.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally and domestically.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
