Director, Customer Program Management
Role Summary
The Director of Customer Program Management leads execution of strategic customer programs for the FDX product portfolio. This role is the primary customer-facing program leader responsible for driving technical deliverables, qualification milestones, manufacturing readiness, and on-time delivery while coordinating cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Experience Level
Senior β requires extensive semiconductor leadership experience (see Requirements for details).
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end customer program execution, act as the customer's program interface, and ensure operational readiness for key milestones.
- Serve as primary program management contact for strategic FDX customers; build trusted customer relationships.
- Maintain integrated program schedules, track milestones, manage risks, and drive recovery plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product Management, Customer Engineering, Technology Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Lead customer program reviews, provide timely status updates on technical deliverables, qualifications, production readiness, and deliveries.
- Manage customer escalations and lead structured problem-solving to restore program health.
- Prepare concise executive-level status updates and decision packages; escalate issues to appropriate leadership.
- Drive manufacturing and operational readiness: qualification plans, production ramps, yield, capacity, cycle time, quality, and logistics mitigation.
- Perform all duties in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications and key skills required to perform the role.
- 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
- 10+ years in program management, customer engineering, operations, product engineering, NPI, or related customer-facing leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing complex semiconductor programs from development through production and high-volume manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor product development, qualification, manufacturing operations, and supply chain processes.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Extensive customer-facing experience and executive communication skills, including escalation management.
- Ability to create and maintain integrated schedules, risk registers, and recovery plans.
Nice-to-have:
- Foundry, IDM, or fabless company experience.
- Knowledge of FD-SOI, RF, embedded memory, or advanced manufacturing processes.
- Experience supporting automotive, industrial, wireless, IoT, or edge AI customers.
- PMP or equivalent program management certification.
- Experience working with global customers and cross-geography teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline (specified as a requirement in the posting).
