Director, ASIC Digital Design
Role Summary
Lead and scale digital design and pre-silicon verification teams responsible for high-performance Interface IP (PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet) from architecture through silicon validation and customer deployment. Drive technical direction, delivery, and cross-functional collaboration to enable Interface IP used in AI, cloud, and networking systems.

Responsibilities
Accountable for execution, team development, and product quality across digital design and pre-silicon verification.
- Lead and grow teams focused on digital design and pre-silicon verification for Interface IP.
- Own program execution, resource planning, schedules, and delivery from architecture through silicon validation and customer deployment.
- Define and enforce design and verification methodologies, quality standards, and coverage targets.
- Partner with architecture, analog, physical design, firmware, and applications engineering to ensure successful releases.
- Develop technical talent and leadership capability; mentor engineers and build high-performing teams.
- Improve engineering efficiency via scalable design, verification, and automation practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- 12+ years of related ASIC design and verification experience, with leadership responsibility for programs and teams.
- Strong RTL design skills and hands-on expertise with SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience with modern EDA flows and pre-silicon verification methodologies.
- Proven track record delivering high-performance Interface IP products from concept to production.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering teams, making technical decisions, and driving execution in complex environments.
- Effective communicator able to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes and collaborate across functions.
- Nice-to-have: direct experience with PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet IP and related ecosystem requirements.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (as stated). Equivalent practical experience is not explicitly listed.
