Role Summary

Lead Marvell's broadband analog design team responsible for high-speed optical front-end ICs (TIAs, modulator and laser drivers) used in data center and telecom systems. Provide technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and delivery oversight from circuit definition through production.

Experience Level

Senior - director-level role. Requires substantial leadership and technical experience in analog/RF high-speed design and people management.

Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, and team management:

• Provide technical leadership for design of optical modulator drivers and transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) in SiGe BiCMOS and advanced FinFET processes.
• Define high-performance broadband analog circuit architectures and interface specifications with systems, DSP and silicon photonics teams.
• Oversee design reviews, transistor-level design practices, layout reviews and EDA tool use; enforce rigorous design methodology.
• Coordinate post-silicon validation, qualification, transition to mass production, and customer support.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, assign resources, and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor and develop engineers across junior to senior levels; guide career growth and project management skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, DSP, photonics, package and system integration).

• Proven experience managing and growing teams of analog designers focused on high-speed broadband ICs.
• Deep analog/RF design expertise: transistor-level design, RF/high-speed broadband design (10+ GHz), device physics, control/feedback loop stability.
• Track record as chip lead with successful silicon results and experience taking designs to mass production.
• Strong experience with EDA CAD tools and supervising analog custom layout.
• Ability to translate chip-level specifications into architecture; strong cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills; strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Management skills: resource allocation, performance management, enforcing methodology, and mentoring.
• Nice-to-have: AGC loop design, high-precision analog circuits (regulators, bandgaps, DAC/ADC), CTLE design, package/system integration, direct experience with TIAs or optical modulator drivers.
• Experience across technologies such as SiGe BiCMOS and advanced FinFET nodes is preferred.

Education Requirements

Degrees in Electrical Engineering are specified with associated experience ranges: Bachelor's degree with 15+ years' related experience; Master’s degree with ~10–12 years; PhD with ~8–10 years. (These are the stated degree/experience pathways.)
