Job Title
Digital Verification Lead
Role Summary
Lead verification strategy, execution, and delivery for optical controller ICs targeting AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure. Own verification planning across block, chip, and system levels and coordinate with digital design, analog/mixed-signal, firmware, and system teams to achieve tape-out and post-silicon goals.
This role combines hands-on technical contribution, project ownership, and people leadership for a verification organization responsible for first-pass silicon success.
Experience Level
Senior β requires advanced verification experience; the posting specifies 8+ years in digital verification of complex SoCs.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and own end-to-end verification strategy from architecture through tape-out and post-silicon support.
- Plan verification scope, coverage strategy, assertion plan, and sign-off criteria; drive coverage-driven verification.
- Lead verification execution for projects: schedule planning, milestone tracking, risk assessment, and mitigation.
- Serve as verification authority for technical and quality decisions and interface to program management.
- Identify and resolve integration and system-level risks across teams.
- Architect, review, and guide development of SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments at block and chip levels.
- Participate in debug and root-cause analysis of complex functional, integration, and system issues; support post-silicon bring-up.
- Lead, mentor, and develop verification engineers; allocate resources and support hiring and onboarding.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 8+ years of experience in digital verification of complex SoCs with ownership of major subsystems or full-chip verification.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM, including environment architecture, sequences, scoreboards, assertions, and coverage.
- Experience with functional coverage, code coverage, and verification sign-off.
- Proven experience leading verification projects and/or managing engineers, including schedule ownership and cross-team coordination.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and processor-based SoC verification.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell).
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence and align cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel (~10%) and operate in a day-shift, fast-paced AI datacenter product environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with mixed-signal verification and working with analog teams.
- Experience or awareness of AI-assisted tools to improve design productivity.
- Post-silicon validation and bring-up experience.
Education Requirements
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
