Job Title
Digital Verification Lead
Role Summary
Lead verification execution for optical controller ICs targeting AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure. Responsible for verification strategy, execution, and delivery across block, chip, and system levels.
Manage and mentor a verification team, coordinate with digital design, analog/mixed-signal, firmware, and system teams, and drive schedules and quality milestones to achieve first-pass silicon success.
Experience Level
Senior β 8+ years of experience in digital verification of complex SoCs with demonstrated ownership of major subsystems or full-chip verification.
Responsibilities
Own and execute verification activities end-to-end, lead the verification team, and ensure tape-out readiness and post-silicon support.
- Define and own end-to-end verification strategy from architecture through tape-out and post-silicon support.
- Plan verification scope, coverage strategy, assertion plan, and sign-off criteria; drive coverage-driven methodologies.
- Act as verification authority for technical and quality decisions; track milestones and manage schedule, risks, and mitigations.
- Serve as primary verification interface to program/project management and align verification goals with project timelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop verification engineers; allocate resources and balance workloads across projects.
- Architect, review, and guide development of C/UVM-based verification environments at block and chip levels.
- Debug and perform root-cause analysis for complex functional, integration, and system issues; review sequences, assertions, and coverage results.
- Support post-silicon validation and bring-up, collaborating with system, firmware, and applications teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, leadership experience, and practical knowledge required to lead verification for complex SoCs.
- Proven leadership in verification projects and/or people management, including schedule ownership and cross-team coordination.
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM: environment architecture, sequences, scoreboards, assertions, and coverage.
- Solid experience with functional and code coverage and verification sign-off processes.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and processor-based SoC verification.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell) for verification infrastructure and automation.
- Experience with mixed-signal verification and interaction with analog teams (desirable).
- Awareness or experience with AI-assisted tools to improve design productivity (nice-to-have).
- Strong communication and leadership skills; self-driven and able to operate in a fast-paced AI datacenter product environment.
- Required travel: up to 10%.
- Shift: 1st Shift / Days.
Education Requirements
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
