Digital Verification Engineer (New Grad)

Role Summary

Entry-level verification engineer responsible for verifying digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits using industry-standard ASIC flows and tools. Works with senior digital and analog designers to develop verification environments, system-level and behavioral models, and test plans for power-management and mixed-signal products.

Entry-level / New graduate.

Responsibilities

Primary verification duties and collaboration with design teams.

• Generate test plans from design requirements and product datasheets.
• Work with senior digital and analog designers to develop system-level and behavioral models.
• Create verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Write digital and mixed-signal testcases, assertions, and checkers.
• Analyze and debug test results, code coverage, and functional coverage.
• Document test plans and participate in reviews.
• Develop verification IPs, reusable tests, environments, and checkers.
• Perform gate-level verification and use ASIC tool flows (simulators, synthesis, DFT, LEC, STA).
• Automate tasks and write scripts to support verification flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and expected capabilities; followed by common nice-to-have items.

• Basic knowledge of the ASIC development process and digital design techniques.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience with behavioral/RTL coding.
• Ability to develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and improve coverage.
• Familiarity with industry-standard ASIC tools and flows: digital simulators, synthesis tools, DFT, LEC, STA.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet project milestones, and work in a team; good written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: embedded firmware experience, knowledge of power-management applications, familiarity with serial protocols (I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, PMBUS), and scripting/automation (TCL, Python, C/C++).

Education Requirements

MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Digital Design / VLSI coursework.
