Job Title

Digital Verification Development Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of digital ASIC/SoC blocks and subsystems by designing and implementing UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and verification environments. Collaborate with design, integration, and validation teams to close functional and code coverage and support pre-silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Entry-level. 0–3 years of professional experience in SystemVerilog-based verification.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develop verification plans from specifications and architect system-level verification environments.
  • Design and maintain UVM-based testbenches for block- and subsystem-level verification.
  • Create constrained-random stimulus, monitors, scoreboards, and coverage models in SystemVerilog.
  • Drive functional and code coverage closure; analyze coverage gaps and add targeted tests.
  • Integrate and configure verification IP for standard protocols.
  • Support FPGA prototyping and pre-silicon validation with test suites.
  • Run RTL and gate-level simulations and analyze results; contribute to regression and CI flows.
  • Automate verification and verification-related flows to improve productivity.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; desirable items listed separately.

  • 0–3 years developing SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog and familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Proficiency with UVM methodology and verification best practices.
  • Solid understanding of functional and code coverage metrics and closure techniques.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux development environments.
  • Fluent English (reading and communication with engineering teams).
  • Nice to have: familiarity with RTL design and synthesis, CDC analysis, FPGA prototyping experience, and scripting skills (shell, Perl, TCL).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering (as stated). No other degrees or certifications were specified.
