Job Title

Digital Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test development and manufacturing enablement for Qualcomm SoC products. The role focuses on silicon validation, characterization, and creating test methods for New Product Introduction and production.

Collaborate with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing teams to develop, validate, and transfer test solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting prefers candidates with about 1+ year of industry experience as a Test Engineer.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include developing and validating test solutions throughout NPI and manufacturing.

  • Create and maintain ATE code and test methods for silicon validation and production.
  • Perform silicon characterization and participate in data reviews to validate product behavior.
  • Support manufacturing enablement and transfer of test methods to production test flows.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Use and maintain common lab and test equipment to debug and triage failures.
  • Analyze test data, document findings, and produce reports and test plans.

  • Preferred: ~1+ year industry experience as a Test Engineer working on silicon or production tests.
  • Preferred experience with ATE platforms such as Advantest 93K or Teradyne UFlex/IFlex.
  • Familiarity with VLSI technologies and digital baseband products.
  • Programming/scripting experience (C/C++, VB, Java, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (O+, Data Power, Exensio) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of digital communication concepts and semiconductor physics is beneficial.
  • Ability to operate and interpret results from common test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, etc.).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
