Job Title

Digital IP Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Define and implement verification strategy for digital IP or sub-system level. Execute functional verification to ensure the IP meets specification and deliver verification artifacts including plans, testbenches, assertions, and simulation models.

Work as part of a small verification team based at the Austin (Oakhill) office.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Minimum 5 years of experience in IP or SoC design or verification.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning, implementing and executing verification activities to validate IP against requirements.

  • Define and write IP verification plans from requirements, architecture, and implementation specs.
  • Develop UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, drivers, monitors, and response checkers.
  • Create stimulus: random, algorithmic, and directed testcases.
  • Write SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and coverage properties aligned to the verification plan.
  • Collect and analyze code and functional coverage; identify and close coverage gaps.
  • Debug failing tests to isolate root cause across tools, testcases, checkers, and RTL.
  • Maintain verification environment, build scripts, and tooling.
  • Perform assertion-based formal verification on blocks and IPs.
  • Use AI tools to augment generation of verification artifacts and increase productivity.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of IP or SoC design or verification experience.
  • Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Strong verification skills: test planning, testbench development, simulation and debug.
  • Experience writing SVAs, monitors, drivers and checkers.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing coverage data.
  • Proficiency using AI to augment work products.
  • Ability to work independently and in small teams without close supervision.
  • Nice-to-have: scripting/programming (Python, C/C++, Perl, TCL), RTL design and synthesis experience, and familiarity with static/formal checkers.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of ARM AMBA protocols.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCE, BSCS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field. Master's degree (MSEE, MSCE, MSCS) is a plus.
