Digital IC Design Engineering Intern (MS/PhD)

Role Summary

As a Digital IC Design Engineering intern at Texas Instruments, you will help define, design, model, implement, and document digital integrated circuits across applications such as audio, imaging, high-speed interfaces, clocking, automotive, storage, and power management.

The role requires collaboration with system and business teams to translate specifications into silicon, support prototype characterization, and assist in driving products toward release.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current graduate students (Master's or PhD). No specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business and system engineering to develop and refine design specifications.
  • Perform high-level architecture analysis and trade-off studies to meet specs and cost targets.
  • Participate in design reviews and produce required design and product documentation.
  • Collaborate on IC layout to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Characterize prototypes, develop test specifications, and coordinate with test/product engineering for releases.
  • Develop and drive behavioral models.
