Digital IC Design Engineer (INT TRX)
Role Summary
Design high-performance digital circuits that interface with analog systems for automotive and industrial applications. Work across communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, 1394, and Ethernet, contributing to end-to-end system solutions.
Collaborate with analog and digital engineering teams to deliver RTL designs from architecture through timing closure.
Experience Level
Mid-level — 5+ years of relevant digital IC design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining architectures, implementing RTL, and verifying designs through synthesis and timing closure.
- Define architecture and micro-architecture for complex digital systems.
- Author and review RTL; execute simulation, synthesis, and timing-closure flows.
- Develop test methods and specifications; contribute to datasheets and application notes.
- Analyze and solve complex engineering problems using systematic methods.
- Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with analog and digital designers to integrate mixed-signal systems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Strong background in digital circuit design and analog-digital interfaces.
- Proficiency in RTL design, synthesis, and verification flows (Verilog and simulators).
- Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, 1394, and/or Ethernet.
- Understanding of analog functionality and exposure to analog IC design methods.
- Systematic problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with SystemVerilog.
- Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Time management and ability to deliver in fast-paced environments.
