Job Title

Digital IC Design Engineer, Battery Charging Products (BCP)

Role Summary

Design and verify digital cores for battery charger integrated circuits within the Battery Charging Products group. Work with systems and analog engineers to define architecture, create documentation, and support lab evaluation and product delivery.

Role is execution-focused: architect digital blocks, produce RTL and verification artifacts, and ensure designs meet specifications and manufacturing constraints.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include implementing and validating digital functionality for battery charger ICs and collaborating across disciplines to achieve product goals.

  • Define, design, and verify digital cores for battery charger ICs.
  • Collaborate with systems and analog engineers to set digital architecture and requirements.
  • Create design and product documentation and participate in design reviews.
  • Develop verification plans from datasheets, system input, and customer feedback.
  • Perform simulations and analyses to ensure specification compliance and competitive performance.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models for digital and analog blocks.
  • Evaluate device operation and performance in the lab; support multiple projects concurrently.
  • Improve digital design and verification methodology.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience and a concise list of preferred capabilities.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of relevant digital IC design experience.
  • Must-have: Practical experience defining and verifying digital blocks and producing verification plans.
  • Must-have: Experience with simulations and lab evaluation of ICs.
  • Nice-to-have: RTL design experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and ability to take synthesizable RTL through implementation to GDSII.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with digital design tools (Cadence) and timing/functional verification workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python), UVM, VAMS, and digital modeling.

Education Requirements
