Role Summary
Lead architecture and implementation of verification flows and infrastructure for Synopsys digital IP and SoC projects. Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing verification architecture, building infrastructure, mentoring engineers, and driving methodology adoption across projects and teams.
- Architect and implement unified verification flows using VCS, Verdi, VMS Execution Manager, Verdi Planner (HVP), and VIPs.
- Design and build scalable verification infrastructure for complex IP and SoC projects across global teams.
- Define, document, and propagate verification methodologies and best practices organization-wide.
- Lead and mentor verification engineers; provide technical guidance on UVM, SystemVerilog, flow optimization, and debugging.
- Drive technical initiatives end-to-end, from concept through deployment and adoption.
- Collaborate with EDA tool development teams to influence product roadmaps and optimize real-world workflows.
- Troubleshoot and refine verification processes, diagnose flow bottlenecks, and deliver lasting solutions.
- Promote reuse and standardization to reduce verification cycle time and resource overhead.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; concise list follows.
- Deep expertise with Synopsys verification tools: VCS, Verdi, VMS Execution Manager, Verdi Planner (HVP), and Verification IP (VIP).
- Strong programming and scripting skills in SystemVerilog, UVM, Tcl, and Python for automation and flow development.
- Proven ability to architect verification flows and infrastructure for complex digital designs and bring them to production.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and managing multiple technical projects independently.
- Ability to document and communicate technical methodologies clearly across global, cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: experience collaborating with EDA product teams and mentoring verification engineers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering. Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) are a plus.
