Digital Design Verification Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Internship within the digital IC design and verification team in Santa Clara. The role supports design and verification activities for integrated circuits across multiple product domains (audio, imaging, high-speed interfaces, clocking, automotive, power management, etc.).

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include supporting architecture, design, verification, and prototype characterization tasks:

• Contribute to defining and documenting design specifications in partnership with system and business teams.
• Analyze chip architecture trade-offs to support spec compliance and performance/cost targets.
• Participate in design reviews and prepare design and product documentation.
• Collaborate with layout engineers to support high-performance IC layouts.
• Characterize prototypes, develop test specifications, and coordinate with test/product engineering to progress releases.
• Develop and drive behavioral models and verification tasks.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field; cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher. (The posting also lists Degree Level: High School Graduate.)
