Digital Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and execute verification for high-performance SoCs in the MCU organization, delivering robust, coverage-driven verification environments using SystemVerilog/UVM, emulation, and mixed-signal techniques. Collaborate with design, validation, and silicon teams to meet schedule and quality targets.
Work focuses on verification for products serving AI-driven data centers and emerging markets such as humanoid systems.
Experience Level
Senior β 5+ years of verification experience on high-performance SoCs (MCUs or wireless preferred).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute coverage-driven verification campaigns for complex SoCs.
- Design and implement SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, checkers, and verification components.
- Run and validate on major simulation platforms and hardware emulation (FPGA, Palladium, etc.).
- Perform power-aware and mixed-signal (AMS) verification and integrate low-power verification techniques.
- Develop automation and CI/CD flows; create and maintain scripts (tcl, perl, python, Bash) for verification workflows.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with design, validation, and global teams to meet aggressive schedules.
- Mentor and guide engineers; drive methodology and process improvements.
- Support silicon bring-up and prototype debug when required.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 5+ years of verification experience on high-performance SoCs, preferably MCUs or wireless products.
- Deep expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM and experience with major simulation platforms.
- Experience with power-aware verification, mixed-signal verification, and hardware emulation.
- Proven ability to deliver high-coverage verification solutions and meet tight schedules.
- Advanced scripting/automation skills (tcl, perl, python, Bash) and familiarity with CI/CD for verification flows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to coordinate across global sites.
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving verification methodology.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with internal vendor-specific verification platforms or custom IP verification frameworks.
- Publications or conference presentations on verification methodologies.
- Hands-on silicon bring-up and debugging experience.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE 1800/UVM, IEEE 1500, IEEE 1149.1).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (Job lists Bachelor\'s Degree). Relevant fields include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical fields.
