Job Title
Digital Design RTL Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement SystemVerilog RTL for SoC components, taking features from specification through timing closure and physical design hand-off. Work within a digital design team and collaborate with Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design to meet PPA and schedule targets.
Focus on high-performance interfaces and memory/protocol integration in advanced process nodes; deliver production-quality RTL with attention to performance, power, area, CDC, and low-power techniques.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of industry experience in digital ASIC/SoC RTL design or related roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Drive RTL design from specification to timing closure and physical-design hand-off with high autonomy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design to identify and mitigate risks and meet project milestones.
- Write, review, and maintain high-quality SystemVerilog RTL and related design documentation.
- Optimize designs for performance, power, and area (PPA); perform CDC analysis and implement low-power techniques.
- Integrate and validate high-speed interfaces and memory protocols within SoC contexts.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills (education requirements are listed separately below):
-
Must-have: Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and proven experience delivering RTL for production SoCs.
-
Must-have: 5+ years of industry experience in digital design with practical SoC integration experience.
-
Must-have: Experience driving timing closure and preparing designs for physical hand-off.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with advanced process nodes (5nm and below), PPA optimization, CDC analysis, and low-power design techniques.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with LPDDR4/5, LPDDR5/6, DDR4/5, high-speed SerDes, or HBM protocols.
-
Nice-to-have: Proven ability to work across Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master (MSEE) or PhD preferred. Fields: Electrical Engineering or closely related technical disciplines. No alternative "equivalent experience" language was specified in the posting.
