Digital Design Intern - Summer 2027

Role Summary

This is a summer internship on the digital design team working on implementation, simulation, verification support, and documentation for ASIC/SoC digital blocks. The intern will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with verification, physical design, and validation teams to support project delivery.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level — intended for current students (undergraduate or graduate) who will return to school after the internship. No specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical duties include assisting with design and verification tasks across the development cycle.

• Contribute to design implementation, checks, simulations, and documentation for digital logic.
• Assist with coding, reviewing, and debugging digital logic under senior engineer guidance.
• Work with verification, physical design, and validation teams to enable project execution.
• Maintain clear design records, test results, and technical documentation.
• Support engineering quality, learning, and teamwork throughout development.

• Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; quick learner.
• Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
• Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent). Candidates must be enrolled and return to school after the internship; if a candidate graduates prior to July 2027 they are not eligible for the summer internship and should pursue entry-level full-time roles instead.
