Career Accelerator Program - Product Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role within Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP). Participants receive technical training and hands-on experience in product, test, and validation engineering for analog and embedded processing integrated circuits.

The role supports new product development, test and validation activities, manufacturing release and optimization, and cross-functional problem resolution to ensure product quality and performance.

Experience Level

Entry-level - targeted at recent graduates and early-career engineers participating in TI's CAP.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on product performance, test/validation, and manufacturing support.

• Participate in CAP training and on-the-job projects across product, test, and validation functions.
• Develop and optimize test software and hardware; support automated test equipment and tester interactions.
• Debug devices at bench and system levels; perform device characterization, verification, and failure analysis.
• Analyze data to drive yield improvements, cost reductions, and capacity expansion.
• Support product qualification and reliability testing and interpret implications for production.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned product portfolio; coordinate cross-functional problem solving.
• Establish and maintain communication with wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites to resolve issues.
• Document technical results and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Must-have: Fundamental knowledge of electronics and schematics; hands-on debugging and bench characterization skills; familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, bench setups).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas for this position).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing).
• Programming experience in C/C++ and familiarity with LabVIEW.
• Experience with automated test equipment, test hardware/software interaction, and test optimization.
• Soldering experience and practical device-debug skills.
• Experience reading PCB schematics and layouts.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher as stated in the posting.
