Digital Design Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Internship focused on digital design for low-power RF communication and IoT devices. Work includes RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, verification, and debugging at both behavioral and circuit levels.

The role supports development and testing of modulation/demodulation algorithms (BPSK, FSK, QAM, OFDM), implementation on low-level embedded CPUs, and collaboration with analog and digital design engineers on low-power architectures.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include design, implementation, and verification of digital communication components and participation in cross-functional design efforts.

• Design and implement RTL for communication chips; verify and debug designs at behavioral and circuit levels.
• Simulate and synthesize digital logic and run verification flows.
• Define and test modulation/demodulation algorithms (BPSK, FSK, QAM, OFDM).
• Develop and optimize algorithms on low-level embedded (assembler-programmed) CPUs.
• Collaborate with analog and digital design engineers to integrate solutions and develop low-power architectures.
• Participate in design reviews and present technical results to the team.
• Contribute to problem solving and documentation to support project delivery.

Requirements

Minimum technical skills and experience expected for successful candidates.

Must-have

• 1–3 years of relevant experience; exceptional newly graduated candidates considered.
• Good knowledge of communication theory and digital signal processing.
• Understanding of digital logic design.
• Familiarity with Verilog and VHDL and their simulators.
• Strong programming skills: MATLAB, C, Python, and assembler.
• Understanding of analog and RF electronics and exposure to analog IC design methods.
• Excellent English communication skills.
