Digital Design Engineer Lead (DDR5 SPD Hub)

Role Summary

The SPD Hub Digital Designer Lead will lead the design development, implementation, and verification of digital logic for DDR5 SPD Hub products. This role requires technical leadership skills and collaboration with multi-disciplinary groups to drive key aspects of SPD Hub products.

Experience Level

Senior, with 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in architecture definition and micro-architecture design for DDR5 SPD Hub features.
• Leading RTL development for I3C, I²C, and related control logic.
• Performing digital design verification and documentation of spec/test plans.
• Collaborating with analog/mixed-signal and physical design teams for full-chip integration.
• Working closely with firmware and validation teams for system-level behavior.
• Providing documentation including design specifications and integration guides.
• Engaging in bring-up, validation, and failure analysis for engineering samples.

Requirements

Must have the following qualifications:

• PhD or MS degree with 10+ years of experience in digital ASIC design.
• Experience with memory subsystem architecture, preferably DDR4/DDR5.
• Familiarity with I3C protocol, I²C/SMBus, or SPD EEPROM behavior.
• Knowledge of security logic, including encryption basics.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Unix, Python, and C/C++.
• Ability to execute tasks that meet project milestones.

Nice-to-have skills include:

• Embedded designs or firmware development experience.
• Knowledge of power management applications.
• Experience in mixed signal design.
• Familiarity with interfaces like I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, PMBUS/USB-PD.

Education Requirements

PhD or MS in relevant field.
