Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
The Digital Design Engineer will be a key member of Marvell Central Engineering, responsible for developing next-generation automated design flow and add-on tools. This role involves utilizing extensive design and CAD knowledge to establish the organization’s design infrastructure, methodology, and workflows.
Experience Level
Mid-level (3-5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2-3 years with a Master’s degree or PhD).
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining cutting-edge RTL validation flows.
- Staying up-to-date with process and tool evolutions.
- Utilizing AI tools to enhance CAD flow efficiency.
- Supporting deployment and integration of CAD flows.
- Centralizing and disseminating RTL methodology knowledge.
- Collaborating with EDA vendors for optimal tool use.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields and 3-5 years of related experience, or a Master’s/PhD with 2-3 years.
- Proficiency in Tcl and Python scripting.
- Experience in Verilog/System Verilog Design and Verification.
- Fluency in RTL linting tools and git revision control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and team collaboration abilities.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Knowledge in writing and debugging timing constraints.
- Experience with AI code assistants.
- Familiarity with synthesis tools and STA analysis.
- Understanding of UPF definitions and power domain implementations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
