Digital Design Engineer, Coherent High Speed Interconnect - New College Graduate
Role Summary
Design and implement digital architecture and RTL for NVLINK-C2C coherent high-speed interconnects used in GPUs, SoCs, and related products. Work on feature trade-offs, performance and power optimization, and collaborate with architects, external partners, software engineers, and circuit designers to deliver production-quality interconnect IP.
Experience Level
Entry-level - New college graduate. Suitable for candidates with minimal professional experience or recent graduates.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and optimizing coherent high-speed interconnect logic and collaborating across disciplines to integrate the IP into systems.
- Architect and design digital logic for high-speed coherent interconnects (NVLINK-C2C) targeting SoCs and GPUs.
- Write and maintain RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for protocol and link-layer functionality.
- Collaborate with architects, circuit designers, software teams, and external partners to meet system requirements.
- Analyze performance and power; iterate designs to meet targets and system constraints.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.
- Relevant design experience in architecture, RTL design, performance analysis, and power optimization.
- Familiarity with industry interconnect protocols such as PCIe, CXL, AXI, or CHI.
- Strong working knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience mentoring junior engineers or interns.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, or equivalent practical experience. Master’s or PhD in a related field is preferred.
