Job Title

Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Perform digital semiconductor IP design, development, verification coordination, and quality signoff for embedded products. Work on RTL design, CDC/DFT/clock/reset structures, equivalency and timing analyses, and release artifacts.

Collaborate with verification and cross-functional teams to create test plans, achieve coverage goals, track metrics, and deliver production-ready IP.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No specific years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification coordination, and release documentation for digital IP.

  • Develop and modify RTL IP; standardize clock-domain crossing (CDC), design-for-test (DFT), clocks and resets.
  • Execute RTL-to-RTL logic equivalency checks (LEC), Lint, CDC analysis, static timing analysis (STA), and reset domain crossing checks.
  • Use Synopsys and other EDA tools for implementation and IP release workflows; produce signoff evidence.
  • Collaborate with verification to develop test plans and complete verification to target coverage.
  • Track development metrics: plan milestones, code and functional coverage, and defect tickets.
  • Deliver completed IP including RTL and quality signoff documentation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools; equivalent practical experience acceptable.

  • Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog and RTL design.
  • Experience with UVM and functional verification methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ for scripting and testbench development.
  • Experience with Synopsys Design Vision or similar EDA tools.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor system design and digital integrated-circuit design.
  • Experience performing LEC, CDC analysis, STA, and DFT-related flows.
  • Ability to collaborate with verification teams and document IP release/signoff.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (including VLSI or related variants such as Physics), foreign equivalent, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience (graduate-level coursework, thesis, internship, or relevant occupation) is acceptable.
