Job Title

Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join Ceva's Hardware Radio team in Athens to design and verify digital RF blocks for next-generation wireless connectivity products (MIMO Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth). The role interfaces with architecture, algorithms, baseband, hardware and software teams to deliver robust transceiver digital designs.

Experience Level

Senior — more than 5 years of experience in digital ASIC or FPGA design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on digital block design, verification, documentation and post-silicon validation.

  • Design and verify digital blocks for advanced RF transceivers to meet performance and robustness targets.
  • Define specifications, interfaces and functional requirements in collaboration with system, algorithms and baseband teams.
  • Produce clear technical documentation covering architecture, interfaces and verification plans.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up, verification and validation with cross-functional teams to ensure product integration and performance.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional competencies.

  • Senior-level experience (over 5 years) in digital ASIC or FPGA design with hands-on delivery experience.
  • Experience with DSP blocks and digital blocks for mixed-signal circuits (e.g., ADPLL, ADC) and RF calibration digital logic.
  • Familiarity with on-chip interfaces such as SPI and APB/AHB.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies (constrained-random, gate-level simulation).
  • Experience with Cadence Xcelium (or equivalent), lint and CDC checks, synthesis tools, STA concepts and constraint definition.
  • Knowledge of design-for-test (DFT/ATPG) techniques and related support flows.
  • Skill in Matlab and/or Python for algorithm specification and bit-accurate verification of RTL vs system models.
  • Experience with scripting (Tcl, bash) and working in a Linux environment.
  • Experience producing technical reports and documentation; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi protocols at PHY and MAC layers.
  • Experience with chip/platform bring-up, lab testing and validation; Python for lab automation.
  • Familiarity with RISC‑V based system architecture.

Education Requirements

PhD or Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or an equivalent technical field (specific knowledge of digital circuit design). (Degree requirement stated in source.)
