Job Title

DFX Design - Arch

Role Summary

Join the Computing & Graphics Framework Architecture team to define and deliver Design-for-Excellence (DFX) strategy for SoC debug, test, validation, reliability, and manufacturability across client and discrete graphics platforms. You will work from early concept through production, collaborating with architects, SoC designers, silicon validation, product engineering, and manufacturing teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 7+ years of relevant SoC design or DFX architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of DFX/debug observability solutions and drive cross-functional alignment for silicon bring-up, validation, and production readiness.

  • Develop next-generation SoC debug and observability solutions for secure, scalable post-silicon debug and validation.
  • Define and execute DFX strategy spanning debug, test, validation, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, validation, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to establish DFX architectures that satisfy functional and manufacturing test needs.
  • Drive cross-functional requirements, use cases, and end-to-end implementation flows across engineering organizations.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI-driven methods to streamline DFX planning, insertion, verification, and coverage analysis.
  • Define metrics, methodologies, and automation frameworks to meet product quality, testability, debug, and production readiness objectives.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to engineering teams and customer engineering groups.

Requirements

Core technical expertise and demonstrated ability to apply AI/data-driven methods to DFX processes. Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills are required.

  • Must-have: 7+ years of experience in SoC design, DFX architecture, or related silicon development disciplines.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of DFX implementation and integration within large-scale SoC architectures.
  • Must-have: Deep knowledge of DFT methodologies and infrastructure (scan, ATPG, MBIST, JTAG/boundary scan) and advanced debug/test features.
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of SoC clocking, reset, power management, and low-power design architectures.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and produce architectural and implementation solutions.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; experience working across distributed teams and time zones.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience applying AI and data-driven techniques to requirement analysis, insertion planning, verification, coverage assessment, and design-quality optimization.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with modern AI-assisted engineering workflows and tools to accelerate debug and reduce manual effort.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
