Job Title

DFT Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify design and implementation of Design-for-Test (DFT) features across NVIDIA SoC and networking product lines. Work within the DFT verification team to define verification scope, build verification environments, and validate correctness from unit to system level.

Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, emulation, production test and silicon verification teams to ensure robust testability and manufacturability of chips.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3+ years of verification experience focused on RTL/DFT verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification planning, infrastructure development, execution, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Define verification scope for DFT designs and micro-architectures.
  • Develop verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, checkers, and monitors.
  • Create and run random-based verification tests at unit and system level; implement coverage-driven verification.
  • Use simulation and debug tools to isolate and resolve design issues.
  • Execute test and coverage plans and verify correctness of RTL implementations.
  • Work with architects, designers, emulation, production test and silicon teams to close verification gaps.
  • Document findings and contribute to quality and release readiness assessments.

Requirements

Core technical skills and professional behaviors required for the role.

  • 3+ years of practical verification experience.
  • Experience building verification environments and performing random-based verification for unit and system levels.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation tools, Verilog, and waveform/debug tools (e.g. SimVision, Debussy).
  • Good understanding of RTL design and ability to read and reason about Verilog code.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in geographically distributed teams.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and target-oriented work style.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Specman.

Education Requirements

BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. (Source mentions Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; no other degrees or certifications specified.)
