The intern will work on design-for-test and verification activities for custom IP and SoC blocks, collaborating with design, integration, test engineering and CAD teams to validate designs through IP, cluster, and full-chip flows and to support silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship suitable for graduate students or recent graduates; intended for early-career engineers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Verify custom IP macros at IP, cluster, and full-chip levels.
- Define verification scope and develop verification strategies and test plans in collaboration with Design, Integration, and Test Engineering teams.
- Work with CAD to optimize and stabilize simulation and verification flows.
- Generate test patterns and support silicon bring-up activities.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills:
- Must-have: Strong debugging and analytical skills with RTL and gate-level design tracing (e.g., Verdi) and experience with verification simulation tools (e.g., VCS).
- Must-have: Familiarity with SoC fundamentals (clocking, reset, power rails, IO pads, packaging).
- Must-have: Effective communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; fluent English is required.
- Nice-to-have: Understanding of DFT concepts (Scan, ATPG, BIST, JTAG).
