DFT Engineer, Nitro Team

Role Summary

Develop and implement design-for-testability (DFT) strategies for AWS Nitro semiconductor platforms as a member of the Annapurna Labs semiconductor engineering team. Work across chip design, verification, and test teams to enable robust manufacturing and lifecycle test solutions that support AWS compute infrastructure.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3–7 years of experience. This role requires 4+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement DFT strategies for advanced semiconductor platforms.
  • Collaborate with architecture, logic design, verification, and test teams to integrate testability features.
  • Generate and optimize test patterns and coverage using ATPG and related methodologies.
  • Support chip bring-up, gate-level validation, and lifecycle test management.
  • Contribute to architectural and logic design decisions that affect testability and manufacturability.

Requirements

Core qualifications and desired skills.

  • Must-have: 4+ years as a DFT engineer at a semiconductor company; demonstrated experience developing and deploying DFT strategies and working effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog; familiarity with verification methodologies; experience with ATPG and scan insertion tools; gate-level simulation and static timing analysis experience; scripting skills (Perl, Tcl); experience in international or distributed teams.

Education Requirements
