Job Title

DFT Engineer, Nitro Team

Role Summary

Join the semiconductor engineering team developing DFT strategies and test infrastructure for AWS Nitro platforms at Annapurna Labs (an AWS team). The role focuses on defining and implementing test methodologies, collaborating with design and verification teams, and supporting chip bring-up and lifecycle test processes.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 4+ years of relevant semiconductor DFT experience.

Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities include designing and executing DFT solutions and supporting chip validation and bring-up.

  • Develop comprehensive Design-for-Testability (DFT) strategies for advanced ASIC platforms.
  • Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, verification, and physical design teams to integrate DFT features.
  • Generate and optimize test patterns and manage ATPG flows and scan insertion.
  • Support gate-level simulation, static timing analysis (STA), and silicon bring-up activities.
  • Create and maintain scripts and automation for DFT flows and test infrastructure.
  • Contribute to lifecycle management of test patterns and failure analysis procedures.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 4+ years as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Practical experience with ATPG tools and scan insertion flows.
  • Experience with gate-level simulations and static timing analysis.
  • Strong RTL experience in Verilog and SystemVerilog for test planning and integration.
  • Strong scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) to automate DFT flows and tooling.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies and test pattern optimization.
  • Effective collaborator in cross-functional and international engineering teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with large-scale cloud or data-center ASIC projects and silicon bring-up at scale.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required (as listed in the basic qualifications).
