Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and verification flows for complex semiconductor platforms that power AWS Graviton processors. The role is part of Annapurna Labs within AWS Utility Computing and focuses on enabling robust testability, silicon bring-up, and device diagnostics for production ASICs.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating DFT architectures, verification, and supporting silicon validation and bring-up.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop test and debug patterns to ensure manufacturable and debuggable silicon.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components, including scan and test logic.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis on tape‑outs.

Requirements

Concise list of must-have and nice-to-have technical qualifications.

  • Must-have: 3+ years as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company; proven experience designing and verifying DFT architectures, creating test/debug patterns, performing static timing analysis, and supporting silicon bring-up and diagnostics.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with chip design (RTL), Verilog/SystemVerilog; familiarity with scan insertion tools, ATPG, gate-level simulation.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with verification platforms (UVM testbench), FPGA/emulator environments.
  • Nice-to-have: scripting skills such as Perl and Tcl for automation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; equivalent practical experience accepted.
