Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement design-for-test (DFT) architectures and verification for Graviton-class semiconductor platforms within Annapurna Labs (an AWS semiconductor group). The role focuses on DFT strategy, test pattern development, timing analysis, verification, and supporting silicon bring-up.

Collaborate with SoC design, verification, and physical design teams to ensure chips are testable, debuggable, and manufacturable for production use in AWS infrastructure.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include DFT architecture design, test pattern development, verification, and silicon support.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop high-quality test and debug patterns for manufacturing and field diagnostics.
  • Perform comprehensive static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components using gate-level simulation and verification flows.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, verification, and physical implementation teams to integrate DFT solutions.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills. Education expectations are listed separately below.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company; hands-on experience with scan-based DFT methodologies.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and gate-level simulation for DFT verification.
  • Must-have: Experience with scan insertion tools and ATPG.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with UVM testbenches, FPGA and emulator environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and tooling.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent practical experience. (The posting specifies a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.)
