Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Work on Design-for-Test (DFT) for Graviton/Annapurna Labs semiconductor platforms that power AWS cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on architecting DFT solutions, creating test and debug patterns, verifying DFT logic, and supporting silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The position expects approximately 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and support activities for DFT on complex chips.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex semiconductor platforms.
  • Develop high-quality test and debug patterns to ensure robust production testing.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and review timing impact.
  • Verify DFT logic and components, including gate-level simulations and scan networks.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and debug during validation and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with RTL, verification, and validation teams to integrate DFT into the design flow.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience. Education requirements are listed separately below.

  • 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Practical experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with scan insertion tools and ATPG flows.
  • Experience with gate-level simulations and DFT-related timing verification.
  • Experience with verification platforms such as UVM, FPGA prototyping, or emulator environments.
  • Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and tool integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for silicon bring-up and diagnostics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
