Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and test solutions for Graviton-class semiconductor platforms developed by Annapurna Labs within AWS. The role focuses on DFT architecture, test pattern development, timing analysis across DFT modes, verification of DFT logic, and support for silicon bring-up and diagnostics.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical guideline: 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating DFT architectures and supporting the full test and bring-up lifecycle for complex SoC platforms.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs and platform chips.
  • Develop high-quality test and debug patterns to ensure robust silicon testability.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and constraints.
  • Verify DFT logic and components through simulation and verification flows.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams to integrate DFT features.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by preferred skills.

  • Must-have: 3+ years as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company with hands-on DFT implementation and test experience.
  • Must-have: Practical experience developing test patterns and performing debug and silicon diagnostics.
  • Must-have: Experience conducting static timing analysis related to DFT modes.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog, scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulations.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification platforms such as UVM, FPGA prototypes, and emulator environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and flow development.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
