Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and verification for high‑performance semiconductor platforms used in AWS Graviton processors. Work with silicon, validation, and design teams to ensure testability, debug, and successful silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role expects at least 3 years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing DFT features, creating test patterns, and supporting bring-up and diagnostics.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex semiconductor platforms.
  • Develop high‑quality test and debug patterns to ensure robust test coverage and manufacturability.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components, including scan chains and insertion validation.
  • Support silicon bring‑up, failure analysis, and device diagnostics on lab and in‑system environments.
  • Collaborate with RTL, physical design, verification, and validation teams to resolve testability issues.

Requirements

Core experience and technical skills expected for candidates.

  • Must-have: Minimum 3 years of experience as a DFT engineer at a semiconductor company.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with chip design and RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate‑level simulations.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification platforms such as UVM, FPGA, and emulator environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for flow automation and tooling.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; or equivalent practical experience.
