DFT Jobs, Level - Senior

Job Title

DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for design-for-test (DFT) implementation and signoff for high-speed CPU cores and multi-chiplet System-in-Package (SiP) programs. Work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to define and execute chip-level DFT strategies that enable manufacturing testability and silicon debug.

Experience Level

Senior β€” the role expects 10+ years of relevant DFT experience; candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Contribute to DFT strategy, implementation, verification, and automation for complex silicon programs.

  • Define and execute chip-level DFT strategies for high-speed CPU cores and multi-chiplet SiP designs.
  • Implement and verify scan chains, memory BIST, JTAG, and other test infrastructure to support manufacturing test and silicon debug.
  • Run ATPG, analyze fault coverage reports, and drive fault isolation efforts.
  • Collaborate with RTL, physical design, verification, and external partners to ensure testability across the flow.
  • Script and automate DFT flows and reporting using industry-standard EDA tools and scripting languages.
  • Support SoC-level silicon debug, formal verification of inserted DFT logic, and final signoff activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by a few desirable skills.

  • 10+ years of hands-on DFT experience for ASIC/SoC programs (must).
  • Practical experience with industry-standard DFT/ATPG tools (Synopsys, Siemens/EDA equivalents) (must).
  • Scripting experience in TCL and Python for flow automation and analysis (must).
  • DFT planning, SoC-level silicon debug, formal verification, and signoff of inserted DFT logic (must).
  • Experience with ATPG, fault coverage analysis, and manufacturing test flows (must).
  • Strong cross-functional communication and ability to work with external stakeholders (must).
  • Nice-to-have: prior work on multi-chiplet/SiP programs and high-speed CPU core testability.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (listed in the posting). No explicit language about equivalent experience replacing a degree was provided.
