DFT Engineer
Advanced Micro DevicesJob Title
DFT Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the AMD EPYC Server team responsible for ensuring quality of next-generation EPYC SoCs through structural DFT, ATPG and LBIST techniques. The role interfaces with Architecture, Design, PD and Product Engineering teams to deliver manufacturing test patterns and support silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Level: Senior. Guidance: 9+ years of DFT experience (role requires substantial DFT/ATPG experience).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Architecture to define and validate DFT architecture and implementation.
- Interface with design teams to ensure DFT design rules and guidelines are met.
- Work with PD teams to ensure correct DFT implementation and support timing closure.
- Generate manufacturing test patterns for stuck-at and transition fault models, using on-chip test compression techniques.
- Simulate and verify ATPG and LBIST patterns.
- Analyze ATPG coverage and drive required design changes to maximize coverage.
- Deliver manufacturing test patterns and support silicon bring-up and debug with Product Engineering teams.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scripts and automation for DFT/ATPG flows.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- Exposure to DFT architecture and design.
- Practical experience with ATPG tools (Mentor TK).
- Experience with static timing analysis and timing closure.
- Strong hands-on debug skills and scripting ability.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with LBIST, on-chip test compression techniques, and silicon bring-up debug.
Education Requirements
