Device Engineer, ULP CMOS (2027 New College Graduate)

Role Summary

Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop and optimize ultra-low-power CMOS transistor technology (12nm generation and beyond) in a development environment. Work closely with FEOL integration, unit process, reliability, and modeling teams to achieve target device characteristics, control variability and reliability, and support manufacturability.

Collaborate with cross-functional technology development and customer design groups to define technology requirements and parametric goals for the product roadmap.

Experience Level

Entry-level - New college graduate; 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Perform device design, characterization, analysis, and integration tasks to support technology development and qualification.

• Design, execute, and analyze electrical and physical experiments for transistor/device development.
• Optimize devices using device physics and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Perform analytical and physics-based modeling and apply process integration methods.
• Collaborate with FEOL integration, unit process, reliability, and modeling teams to meet technology goals.
• Support introduction of new technologies and features; enable device characterization for manufacturability.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in all activities.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor device development or related work.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• English fluency (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated ability to execute experiments and interpret electrical/physical data.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a related technical field from an accredited program; graduating/new college graduates expected. Minimum overall GPA 3.0. (No mention of alternative-equivalent experience was provided.)
